How will we see the education system in 2041? Will students go to school, college, university? Will artificial intelligence (AI) take the place of teachers? Or will work as an educational aid?


These questions loom large when drawing a picture of the future education of Smart Bangladesh. The last 15 years have seen many changes in the education sector, where reliance on school textbooks has decreased and education has become global. From cities to villages, the whole world is now at hand. The scope and scope of learning through mobile phones has expanded quite a bit. Mobile phone has become a means of acquiring knowledge.


Smart education of the future is envisioned as such, where there are no barriers to learning. Students will solve their own problems in smart education ecosystem. Be established as a smart citizen in personal, social and state life. Citizens in that education system will be intelligent, skilled, innovative, creative, progressive, non-communal, patriotic and problem-solving minded. In addition to institutional education, blended education, digital media, development of digital skills at all levels of society, increasing use of smart devices and smart employment will be prioritized to improve their skills.


The aim of smart education is to create a smart generation capable of tackling challenges and being innovative. So the curriculum is being made up-to-date in keeping with the world. Students will learn through hands-on, problem-solving. Don't just memorize without understanding. Rather, he will read, understand and play a role in solving various problems of life, develop into an analytical minded citizen. This opportunity will be equal for everyone from city to village. There will be an opportunity to be proficient in modern technology. As learning opportunities are global, all students will have the opportunity to know and learn from various sources outside of their own educational institutions.


One of the most important aspects of smart education is learning, skill acquisition in blended education system with the combination of information technology. It enables students to learn seamlessly online and offline. The result is an easy and personalized learning environment.


A large part of the education of the future will be personalized learning, where the student can learn and master the content at his/her own convenience and time according to the student's interests and learning needs. And here Artificial Intelligence (AI) will help them. AI will play a major role in the future in guiding students according to interests and needs by measuring learning and skill gaps. Also, AI can guide in career counseling and suitable job matching. In this a student will be able to make himself competent keeping in mind the global needs. Will create self-employment by becoming self-reliant. It can also contribute to creating employment for others.


We are envisioning and planning an education system where students don't just learn digitally, but they learn through hands-on experience. We have taken various initiatives to realize that dream. Its journey started from multimedia teaching to present research-based learning, where the teaching process is more practical. As we have seen, millions of students were frustrated not being able to go to class during the Covid-19 global pandemic. Various educational initiatives through digital platforms have helped to keep our education going during these times of depression and anxiety.


Everyone in villages and towns will be covered by proper education. That is why there is a need for an inclusive education ecosystem, where people with special needs have access to education. The government has also taken an exemplary role in creating an inclusive education system so that even a disabled student can prepare himself. It is ensured that you can understand the words of the book as well as the pictures. Ensuring that technology is accessible to every student. Along with multimedia talking books, education is being made accessible to visually impaired and special needs students through the use of various innovative technologies.


Now the question may arise, everything is said about learning, but nothing is said about teaching. Teacher is one of the most important components of education in pedagogy. The role of the teacher in an education ecosystem is pivotal. And so the emphasis has been placed on creating qualified teachers to implement smart education. Teachers are encouraged to keep up with technology and information needed to better understand and address students' needs.


Will AI replace teachers? no Perhaps the most significant aspect of smart learning is the application of AI. Teachers will use this technology for teaching and assessment, and students will use it for learning. The young generation of Bangladesh will be adept at using AI. Through the control and use of this technology in the era of the fourth industrial revolution, they will take Bangladesh to the ranks of the developed world.


The smart Bangladesh we dream of, where smart education will play a vital role and pave the way for our transformation into a developed nation. Smart technology will reach hundreds of people by ensuring easily accessible smart devices.
